In this article we will take a closer look at the CMS editor and each of its buttons. As previously stated, the editor is as basic as Microsoft Word, with the ability to insert images and Flash animations, and video footage.

Depending on when your web site was created your buttons may be slightly different or you may not even have some of the buttons shown on this page. We have left the pictures of the older buttons up for the benefit of all of our clients.

If you have a button on your site that is not shown on this page, simply move your mouse over the button and wait a couple of secions and a small box will appear that will tell you what that particualr button does. 

	Undo / Redo	Undo / Redo the last operation.
	Help	Opens up a help window
	New Document
	Bold / Italic / Underline
	Unordered List / Ordered Lists
	Outdent / Indent
	Strikethrough
	Edit HTML Source	Clicking this button will show you the actual coding that makes your text look the way it does  when you view it on the internet. (It is suggested that only advanced users edit this screen.)
	Remove Formatting
	Cut
	Copy / Paste
	Paste From Word
	Paste as Plain Text
	Find / Find & Replace
	Horizontal Rule	This button will place a horizontal line across the page where ever your cursor is on the page when you click this button.
	Subscript / Superscript
	Align Right / Center / Left / Justified
	Inserts a new Table
	Table Row / Cell Properties
	Insert Row Before / After / Delete Row
	Insert Column Before /  After / Delete Column
	Split / Merge Table Cells
	Insert / edit anchor
	Insert/Edit link / Unlink	The non-broken chain link is used to make something a link, the broken chain link is used to remove the link.
	Text Color	You can change the color of the text on your web site by selecting the text you want to change and then clicking this button. (The newer version of this button is a capital A with a line under it.)
	Text Background Color	If you select some text on your site and then select this button it wil "highlight" the text as if someone took a highlighter pen to it.
	Insert Special Character
	Toggle guidelines / invisible elements
	Text Direction
	Insert / Create Template
	Insert Streaming Media
	Insert / Edit Image	You will use this button to add a picture to the content of your site. (Newer versions of this button have green grass, a tree and a gold star.)
	Insert / Edit IFrame
	Insert / Save HTML Template
	Insert File Link	You will use this button to place a document on your site and have the wording "Link" to the actual file.
	Preview
	Print
	Toggle Fullscreen
	Emotions	This will open up a screen that has various "smiley faces" that you can place in your copy.
